1. Books that will be available in class on Monday for Extensive Reading:

The Fault in our Stars, John Green
Freakonomics, Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner
Happier, Tal Ben-Shahar
The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins
The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini

I would like to choice Freakonomics, anyway, I am curious how an economy book could connect my ordinary life with the rigid data and obscure theories.

So, I also recommend that my dear classmates  should vote for this unusual option.

Self-Introduction

Hey, everyone in the RD4A, 2014

Greetings! I am Shawn Deng. As you see, I already have this blog since I studied in IECP at last semester, and I'll keep using this one in 2014. So there has a former self-introduction at the beginning of the blog, you guys can take a look if you want.

But I would like to write a new one.

I am a graduate student from South China and seeking a PhD program for myself. I don't usually live in this kind of climate like State College, cause' it's too cold! I like detective stories and scientific fictions, swimming, traveling and movie. Since I'd never been to another place such long time, State College now is my second hometown. I was planning to say that my cooking is good but last night I changed my mind. My new roommate told me my Chinese dishes were not such good as what I claimed. It broken my heart, and I need more time to practice.

That's all, keep your attentions and I would never use this blog  only as a tool which just was used to do homework but my life stories recorder. And also hope to read anything about your people.

Shawn D.
